How I Supercharged My Computer Speed
Posted on May 19th, 2010 No commentsLewis Bankfield asked:
Hi my name is Lewis and my computer was so slow it was driving me MAD . I even changed the motherboard for a faster one and fitted 4mb of RAM hoping to speed things up , but to no avail.
A few weeks later out of the blue a friend sent me an e-mail about this software system that he tried and he couldn’t believe the increase in speed he now had. In my frustration it seemed like I had a potential solution.
I immediately went to the website to check it out , here the designer of the program offered a video showing the results I could expect . I loaded it up and watched with amazement as he loaded photoshop in less than 5 seconds ! Then he opened his browser and opened literally 20 tabs and they came up instantaneously , it was as if lightning was striking his computer . This totally convinced me so I decided to try it out.
I downloaded the e-book and followed the instructions page by page . Some of the tweaks involved changes to windows defaults , others were patches that were downloaded and ran for optimizing registration , optimizing hard drive , changes to the internet download speed setting , tips about how the default windows sounds can influence speed also thumbnails and even the fonts stored and many more tweak instructions, also free virus protection , spy protection program and firewall, it took me around an hour including having to reboot a few times for new settings to be implemented.
The end result was a faster boot and switch off , it even made my Mike work ! This had been faulty when I reloaded software after the new motherboard was fitted.
I am still amazed how fast my computer is both in terms of programs loaded from my drive and also speed from the net.

I keep getting dust on the inside of my convertable tablet pc screen. I took it once before to get the screen replaced because of it, and now theres dust in it again. I have no idea how to prevent it or get it out, and i’m afraid to try anything because i don’t want to break the screen in anyway. If you have any ideas, please respond. I greatly appreciate your help!

How Do I Put Videos on My iPod?
Posted on May 14th, 2010 No commentsVikram Singh asked:
Time and time again I get people asking me the question “how do I put videos on my ipod” right after they just finished watching a nice movie on my iPod. Well to give you a quick answer, in order to get videos or movies onto your iPod, you must first convert them into iPod video format, once they are converted then they can be easily dragged onto your iPod through iTunes. So if you were wondering how I put videos on my iPod then continue reading below to find out exactly how…
The video format for the iPod is Mpeg-4 or MP4 so if you wish to watch any videos on your device then they must be converted into Mpeg-4 format first. Now the most reliable and quickest way to do this would be to download a good iPod video converter. These programs are specifically designed to convert all types of video formats ( DIVX, Xvid, AVI, MPEG, FLV etc.) into MP4, and they can do it all at the click of a button.
There is a common three step process that you could use to put “DVD’s” on iPod but it requires you to download several different programs (some of which are free, others cost a fair bit) and it can become quite annoying if you have a fair bit of DVD’s to convert. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who is serious about putting DVD’s onto their iPod as it only suited for full computer experts who have nothing but time on their hands.
If you wish to transfer other types of videos onto your iPod i.e. avi, mpeg, divx, flv etc.. Then the only easy way to do is by using a good iPod video converter as manual conversion is near impossible. So if you downloaded your movies online or have some video format other than DVD you would like to get on your iPod then downloading an iPod video converter is an absolute must.
Hopefully I’ve provided the answer to your question, how do I put videos on my iPod, and allowed you to easily go about it. I would recommend a tool called Cucusoft iPod Video Converter, it’s the same program I use on a regular basis to convert my videos. It is very easy to use and best of all it is free to download (visit the link below) so you can start watching videos on your iPod right now!

What is the best convertible PC tablet available in Ireland and does the handwriting recognition really work?
Posted on May 13th, 2010 2 commentsArik asked:
I need a relatively high spec Laptop PC or Tablet PC for business purposes and I’m very interested in a Tablet PC in particular. I’m just not sure that 1) the handwriting rec will really work; 2) 2hat the performance will be sufficient; and 3) that the extra price will be worth it. I’m interested in hearing the practical experience others have gained and which products they have found best.
My primary uses w.r.t. the tablet functions would be:
- Wireless Web Browsing
- Data gathering and catagorising – from web resources in particular
- Meeting note taking and filing
- Document reading / reviewing
- (potentially – depending on how good the handwriting rec is !) Document writingMany thanks for answering !

3 Key Differences Between the iPad and the Kindle
Posted on May 12th, 2010 No commentsIvan Diaz asked:
The one thing that Apple is used to, is being one of the most innovative companies on the planet. Whenever a new device made by Apple is set to come to the market, you can be sure that it will have features that you have never seen before. Even if the actual device was first created by another company. They always find a way to improve on the original invention. They did this with the iPod against other MP3 manufactures. They also did this against their rival mobile phone manufacturers with the iPhone.
Now they are going to try it once again with the iPad. Even though they mean for the device to be more of a general purpose computing entity, there is no denying that one of their main targets is the Kindle that is manufactured by Amazon. Let’s note the key differences and see how they stack up to one another.
· Touch Screen functionality – Even though both screens are roughly the same size, the iPad has a touch screen functionality that is sure to please the users of the device. Since most of the early adopters of the platform will be former iPhone users, a similar interface is a huge advantage. And consumers who are not using an iPhone now will surely be more impressed by the touch features than the normal hard button navigation presented by the Kindle.
· Device Functionality – The Kindle was meant to be an ebook reader and nothing more. They focused on giving people a similar experience to when they would sit down and read a paperback book. The iPad is going to try and give those same users something more. Apple wants to give them the same ebook functionality, but wrap it in a device that will function as a mini computer as well.
· Color Screen – The Kindle is in black and white. The iPad is in color. That advantage definitely goes to the iPad. Since most people are used to color devices, I would have to say that the iPad will be looked upon more favorably by the average user. While the kindle creators claimed that they decided to go with a black and white screen so that users could feel as if they were reading a real book, people are going to see the kindle side by side with the iPad and ultimately choose the color device.
These are three key differences between the iPad and the Kindle. All of these factors will make a huge difference in someone who is deciding which device that they want.

The Microsoft’s professional service pack 2 is the latest introduction. On installing Service Pack 2, windows Movie Maker 2.1 automatically get installed on the computer. The Windows Movie Maker includes updates related to Group Policy, often useful for the system administrators. Further, it improves the security of the PC. With this service pack 2, you can enhance National Language support and access more enhanced Power-Management Options.
It comes with an innovative design for Tablet PC Input Panel, which helps in entering text. Along with enhanced handwriting recognition like URLs and e-mails, the upgraded XP professional has a handwriting recognition engine which supports all languages. With this offer customers are provided with Bluetooth support. If you planning to install this software together with a service pack, it requires an integrated installation on a network distribution share i.e. both SP2 and Windows XP are installed at same time thereby, saving time.
For creating an integrated installation you would have to connect to the PC and create a distribution folder for maintaining installation files of professional SP2. After setup integrates Windows XP SP2 files, you can deploy it to the computer through network distribution share in either unattended or attended mode.
After the installation, the service pack .exe program runs in an integrated mode with extension .log created in the system root folder. If you use RIS for installation of service pack 2, it will facilitate Remote Installation Services. Installation from a Remote Installation Setup image needs RISsetup.exe file and is similar to installing it from the Windows XP Professional CD.
The software facilitates enhancements and security against viruses, worms and hackers. It also features Windows Firewall, Windows Security Center and Pop-up Blocker for Internet Explorer, thereby, giving you more secure and advanced software. The Wireless Network Setup Wizard helps in creating security-enabled wireless network.
