You have to connect your iPod to iTunes, with your same account and you’ll see there your already bought/purchased apps. You’ll be able to install them on your iPod. The photos and music are also stored in iTunes, so you’ll have to drag them to your iPod.There’s no way to just sync the two devices, to my knowledge.

Popular Speech Therapy Apps Reach Milestone of 50,000 Apps SoldSan Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 01, 2011
Speech with Milo apps have been enormously poplular since they were created one year ago by the innovative Speech-Language Pathologist, Poorani Doonan. She originally created the apps after using the iPad in therapy and realizing that there was a need for an app to build basic language skills. Getting to 50,000 apps sold was never a goal that Poorani thought she could achieve- she just wanted to create an useful app for kidding getting speech therapy.
The Speech with Milo apps have been well-received by critics and reviewers, as they were selected as Best in Education by the Mobile Premier Awards and as #2 in Educational Apps by Babble.com. Poorani, however, attributes Speech with Milo’s success to the parents, teachers and SLP’s that have so enthusiastically supported Milo and friends. “The response never stop to amaze me,” says Poorani.
Speech with Milo does not seemed to be done changing the face of Speech Therapy. They just released an update to the Prepositions which included ‘Therapy Ideas’ integrated into the tool. “Therapy Ideas was something that I originally started on our Facebook page because I wanted to provide people with useful tips three times a week. It was a natural fit to add it to the app. Now, anybody with our app can scroll through a bunch of good tips to use at home or in school. It will be in all our apps going forward.”
Speech with Milo also continues to stay busy on the development front as they are currently working on an Android version of Verbs. They also plan to release a brand new app on the iPad in December. Poorani declined to comment on the new app, saying only that she wants it to be a surprise.
The innovation is nothing new, but Poorani never believe that the apps would see such success. “I remember one of our first reviews was by AutismEpicenter.com. I was so surprised that we were reviewed in such an outstanding blog. It made me convinced that we could build great apps at low prices, and people would find them. Soon we had these amazing sites saying great things about our apps. There are too many to mention, but sites like the iPhoneMom.com were so happy with our apps that we decided to make more.” Recently, sites riveted on SLP’s have detailed how they use Speech with Milo. “SpeechLanguageNeighborhood.com does an amazing job explaining how our app and others are used in therapy.” Poorani has also created her own videos for speech therapy apps explaining how she uses Milo in her private practice.
Poorani is very grateful for the sponsored that Speech with Milo has received from parents, teachers, SLP’s and reviewers. “Emails that say ‘We love Milo’ are the greatest motivator we have. We hope to create many more.”
Speech with Milo offers six speech therapy apps. They offer english versions of Verbs, Prepositions, Sequencing, Interactive Storybook. Also offered are Verbs and Prepositions in Spanish.

IT Directors Scrambling to Keep Up with Mounting Business Needs for Custom Mobile Apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android Devices

IT Directors Scrambling to Keep Up with Mounting Business Needs for Custom Mobile Apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android DevicesLos Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 07, 2011
There is no doubt about it – we’re headlong into the mobile Internet age. What used to be fun little gadgets for games, emails, and nifty utilities have become indispensable business tools. Companies across all industries have realized the tremendous effectiveness of using mobile computers to streamline employee productivity and connect intimately with their customers. To meet the swelling demand, On The GoWARE now offers AppSource, an ongoing business-class mobile development service built to give IT Directors a manageable way to deliver the multitude of apps their companies need.
Across virtually all industries, organizations are coming up with terrific creative ways to leverage custom mobile apps within their operations, but many IT directors are finding it increasingly time consuming to fulfill the thirst for apps from their business units. Executive, sales, marketing, service, shipping, etc – nearly every department wants their own mobile apps for one purpose or another – and they almost all need to somehow tie back and integrate to their existing backend systems.
The software development director of a leading international health insurance provider stated, “we are responsible for creating the systems that run our business, which are used by our customers, our suppliers, and our employees. The CEO has mandated that everything must be accessible from a broad number of mobile devices. We need to create custom iPhone apps, iPad apps, Android apps, and BlackBerry apps for everything.” The director estimated that over 100 custom smartphone and tablet apps will need to be created within the next two years.
On The GoWARE, a mobile development company based in Los Angeles, California, services businesses across the nation through a service plan they call AppSource, specifically designed for companies with multiple app, multiple platform, ongoing custom mobile app development requirements. If a company has enough need for even one full time mobile app developer, the AppSource service makes a lot of good business sense.
Mike Newman, President of On The GoWARE, explains the AppSource service as “a way for us to deliver a flexible, scalable mobile app development department to companies that need an ongoing relationship with a reliable provider. We manage all of their custom mobile app development needs, assigning a team with diverse skills in project management, design, programming, and testing. Our team provides a broad set of skills across Apple iOS, Google Android, and RIM BlackBerry platforms”
“We work from a monthly budget, determined by our clients, that can adapt on a month-to-month basis depending on their needs, goals, and deadlines. This means clients don’t need to go to bid for each and every project, and be bogged popped in cumbersome change orders every time they want to incorporate new features. Our goal is to gain a deep understanding of our clients’ backend systems, their people, their processes, and their customers. Then we want to be working for them forever and continually improve their capabilities around mobile technologies.”
Management of custom mobile app development is becoming more and more time consuming for IT directors to handle, and technologies are changing rapidly in the mobile computer world. It’s also progressively difficult to recruit, contain, and continually retrain good roving developers as full time personnel. The AppSource service from a professional business-oriented tautened like On The GoWARE simplifies life for enterprise IT Directors, while providing them complete control over their budgets and timelines.

iPad, Kindle Or Sony Touch Book Reader For Ebooks?
Posted on February 19th, 2011 No commentsTracey A Edwards asked:
You might be thinking of upgrading your book reader to the iPad but are wondering what it is like and whether you should get a traditional eBook reader like the Sony Touch or Kindle instead. Well hopefully that decision will be a little easier as we look at the best and worse features of all of these devices.
Cost
Price will be a major consideration for most people, so let’s start with that. With the Apple iPad at over $600 and the ebook readers at close to $200 each, then while it might look cool, if all you want to do with your iPad is read books then it is an expensive way to go. If you are just looking for a good ebook reader then the Kindle would probably be a better choice as it is now under $200 and is backed by Amazon who has made it very easy to download books.
And of course ongoing costs are that Apple makes you pay for your data with monthly plans whereas the Kindle is free.
Screen
The screen of the iPad is bigger at 9.7 inches (as opposed to 6 inches for the Kindle and most of the Sony Touch readers) although to be fair the Kindle DX is also that large in size. However in terms of resolution, the Kindle 2 does have a higher pixel density of 167 compared to the iPad’s 132.
Because the traditional ebook readers from Sony and Amazon are meant for mainly reading books, the e-ink technology and screens help to reduce glare considerable so that they are easy on your eyes. The iPad screen doesn’t have that, and can be hard to read in certain lighting (especially outside in the sun).
But of course the iPad wasn’t specifically meant for just reading ebooks, it has many more features.
Features
There is no doubt that the iPad has more features and apps than the other readers, it’s actually just like an iPhone that way (except without the actual phone).
Its full colour and the ability to play games, watch movies and browse online makes it very much like a laptop in that respect.
Overall we believe that if you are just looking for a good ebook reader then you should stick with either the Sony Touch Reader’s or the Amazon Kindle as you can’t beat them for ease of use, book availability and price. If you want all the bells and whistles and want to look cool for your neighbours then shell out for an iPad.

iPad Vs Kindle and Other EBook Readers – Which is Better?
Posted on September 20th, 2010 No commentsKristy Trudeau asked:
There is much rumor on the internet that the new revolutionary iPad will crush the Kindle DX. Before the iPad was scheduled to launch there was a lot of discussion about how the iPad could help newspaper, magazine and book publishers create new revenue and increase profits.
The new Apple iPad has answered these publishers’ questions of how to increase revenues by offering the iPhone Kindle application. Many of the applications created for the iPhone works very well with the iPad too. Because Apple has more experience creating compatible applications the Amazon store and the creators of Kindle may have something to worry about. Although Kindle has made many changes from their original version relying on their relationship with the Amazon store to keep consumers interested may not be a long lasting benefit when consumers try the new iPad. Fortunately for Kindle users they will be able to try Apple’s new iPad for FREE. Keep reading this article to learn how you can get a new iPad of your own at no cost.
The Apple Corporation has an incredible offer for iPad users. In exchange for signing a monthly contract for service for your iPad the door to the internet will be opened. The more than 34,000 iPod touch apps will be made available to you; and incredible as it may seem, included in this offer will be the Amazon Kindle APP. Sorry Kindle but there may be a new Sheriff in town…
Although the creators of Kindle may soon start to sweat; Amazon won’t be too upset about the new iPad. Amazon will still be able to offer e-books for sale as well as e-textbooks, too. Because Apple has always had a strong relationship with many universities and colleges, we are convinced we will see educational discounts to help promote the iPad as a new virtual textbook. The only publishers who may be hurting in the near future may be the magazine and newspaper corporations who where hoping to ride the Kindle wave a bit longer.
Another great feature of the iPad will be the application for watching movies; think of it as a widescreen version of the iPod. The built in speakers will show to be a valuable part of your on-line movie experience. So to think of the new iPad as much more than a glorified netbook; it’s a fully functioning tablet-style computer. The Apple Corporation has once again provided us with a revolutionary product which is said to have the ability to change the way we use computers in the near future.

The iPad Newspaper and eReader
Posted on January 17th, 2010 No commentsMabel Van Niekerk asked:
Newspaper for iPad is what everyone is asking for since Apple’s well received iPad hit the market. It has been well received and has caused quite a buzz, especially amongst the eReaders. It seems that once you begin reading e-books you never want to read a paper book again. Now that newspapers for iPads are here to stay, the media companies are only too happy to adjust the daily papers for this medium as well.
It is great to be able to read the news on the iPad with clear graphics on a touch screen. The iPad is a touch screen media tablet computer. Navigating from one article to the other takes just a touch of a button, no fuss turning pages and having news paper crumpling in your hands.
The newspapers subscription operate just the same as for normal door to door delivery, the difference now being, that they will be delivered daily as newspapers for iPad downloading. There are a few modifications made in the newspapers formats to accommodate the iPad. For instance you will no longer find your favorite crossword puzzle or the classified section. But you will score on the other hand as newspapers have become more interactive.
All the popular newspapers are available or will be soon, to accommodate the newspapers for iPads. They all have to make small adjustments that do not detract from the pleasure of reading the daily news. Check the iPad Newspaper Store online for competing media companies that supply iPad newspapers. You will be able to subscribe to your favorite one online.
When you buy your iPad make sure you get the app for newspaper reading. Newspaper apps for the iPad are a good investment if you intend subscribing to your favorite iPad newspapers. Purchase the best iBooks app as well, if you intend reading e-books. Invest in Kindle for iPad apps as they include Whispersync technology, which automatically synchronizes the last page you read and bookmarks, notes and highlights it as well.
