We Need iPad and Kindle Kitchen Holders For Digital Cookbooks
Posted on November 4th, 2010 No commentsLance Winslow asked:
Did you know one of the top categories for book sales is cookbooks? I bet you never thought about it unless you were in the publishing business or bookstore retail sector, but nevertheless it is a fact. And one of the greatest things about cookbooks is they have great pictures which make us hungry and allow us to create. Some folks cook strictly by the instructions, like building a model aircraft, others like me create and modify the recipe as we go. Sometimes due to lack of all the ingredients handy, other times because, well, because freedom comes with rewards – in this case to the taste buds.
Whatever the reason, we like to have our cook books handy in the kitchen as we prepare the meal. Now with Kindle and the new iPad – and all the clone devices to follow, we will need our cook books in electronic form and they will have to be in the kitchen with us. Of course, staring down at a cook book is not the world’s best way to keep from getting a sore neck. Perhaps, this is why the William Sonoma Catalog has cookbook holders.
Well, I propose someone hurry up and design a Kindle or iPad holder for my kitchen.
Why, because I want one, that’s why, and if you cook, you will too, if not now, eventually. You see, having all the recipes in the world on your electronic hard drive ebook reader or iPad would be brilliant and therefore it probably will happen one day. But first things first, we need a decent stand, or even a docking station for it. The stand could be simple, elaborate, or hanging from a cabinet designed for eye-level. Perhaps, some of each – variations and choices for the cooking consumer, or master chef?
Think about it, one wave of a hand on your iPad and suddenly you have all the potential variations, perhaps you can go online and here what others had to say about modifying ingredients – success stories and disaster dishes.
Better yet, modern high-tech kitchens will probably have an iPad hooked up to a holographic projector to put that recipe right in front of you as you work. Wow, even George Jetson’s robotic maid and cook would have loved that one.
Someone needs to rethink the kitchen to take advantage of this new eBook trend as we all go out and purchase eBook readers and iPads with cookbooks on them. Indeed, I’d love to brainstorm with someone who has been thinking here as well; because it seems like such a natural progression and evolution of this latest technology. Please consider all this.

Archos 9 Tablet PC Review – Is it the Best Media Internet Tablet For You?
Posted on September 24th, 2010 No commentsKenneth H. Machanic asked:
This article is meant to provide a quick and short review of Archos 9 Tablet PC or internet media tablet as how others referred to it. Those who are on the hunt for information about this product might be wondering if this is worth their money or if it something that can be an alternative to the iPad. Read our review and find out.
Archos 9 Tablet PC is very chic looking and ergonomically design to be very user friendly and portable to be carried around. It has an 8.9 inch touch screen display (LED-backlit) with a standard resolution of 1024 x 600. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z515c processor and has a 60 GB of hard drive and 1 GB of installed DDR2 RAM. It comes with a 1.3 megapixels web cam and built-in stereo speakers. It is Wi-Fi capable and has Bluetooth connectivity.
The internet media tablet looks very promising with the features and added functionality that it offers. However, the touch screen has a sensitivity problem as it can be unresponsive at times. Even with the use of the stylus, one has to sort of heavily tap on the screen to get it right. It is not port friendly as it only has one USB slot. The battery last only for 5 hours whereas some netbooks can last up to 8 hours. Another downside to this tablet PC is it can sometimes take time to load certain programs.
However, not all is bad with the Archos 9. It actually has great features of its own that can make it a stand out. First of all, it runs on the Windows 7 OS so basically it can accommodate most Windows apps like Skype, Messenger and Microsoft Office. It has a bright and crisp screen that can play even HD videos and perfect for quick video chatting with friends and family. It is portable and light as it weighs only less than 2 pounds. It also has a kick stand which is a very useful add on as you can angle and position the tablet for own convenience. And thanks to the optical trackpoint and integrated mouse buttons, the navigation on the interface made it a breeze.
Over all, the Archos has impressive performance and sleek design. It has a great assortment of software installed into it that could get you started with any basic multi-media online activity you might have.

UltimateDefrag is a highly recommended program that effectively defrags PC hard drives to enhance the performance of Windows Vista and other computer system. Get More Work Done While Traveling
Posted on June 30th, 2010 No commentsAmy Everet asked:
In June 2000, Bill Gates demonstrated the very first prototype of the Tablet PC and since then, tablets have not stopped improving. Today, after ten years of maturity, the Tablet PC has everything that a desktop or laptop computer could offer with the added power of extremely intelligent pen recognition capabilities.
Apart from all the other powers of a regular computer, it allows you to use the PC as a notebook. You can scribble notes and even sketch color diagrams and then convert them to text for use with your documents. However, today’s cheap tablet PC shows its real beauty when analyzed as a powerful mobile device.
Tablet PCs are fully functional notebooks that adapt to the way YOU work. Whether you are taking notes in class or in a meeting. All you need to do is to write on the tablet which converts your notes to text so you can use it the way you will. They can wirelessly connect to the internet allowing you to be completely online and even select a part of the screen and quickly send the selection over email. It is about the size of a sheet of paper (generally around 1.1×11.2×8.4 inches) and does not weigh more than 2.5 pounds. It can be carried around to meetings or during transit with complete ease. This is a blessing if you travel for long hours. State of the art machines are equipped with a powerful processor, spacious hard drive and powerful batteries. You can work on multiple tasks for up to 9 hours non stop. More over, you don’t even have to turn it off to change a battery, just plug in a new battery and pull out the spent one. If you want, the Tablet PC will never shut down. All applications that run on desktops and laptops also run on Tablet PCs. So your notes, media files, spreadsheets and even games run smoothly, giving you the power of a computer wherever you may be. The screen is made to work outdoors. Thus, no matter how sunny the day may be, the screen shows its color with undeterred brightness. Many Tablets even have rotating LEDs which can turn 180 degrees. Hence, you can simply turn the screen to get everyone around to look.
So while a cheap tablet PC may not be what everyone needs, they are certainly handy and have taken the computer market by storm, particularly with the new iPad’s launch early 2010.

How I Supercharged My Computer Speed
Posted on May 19th, 2010 No commentsLewis Bankfield asked:
Hi my name is Lewis and my computer was so slow it was driving me MAD . I even changed the motherboard for a faster one and fitted 4mb of RAM hoping to speed things up , but to no avail.
A few weeks later out of the blue a friend sent me an e-mail about this software system that he tried and he couldn’t believe the increase in speed he now had. In my frustration it seemed like I had a potential solution.
I immediately went to the website to check it out , here the designer of the program offered a video showing the results I could expect . I loaded it up and watched with amazement as he loaded photoshop in less than 5 seconds ! Then he opened his browser and opened literally 20 tabs and they came up instantaneously , it was as if lightning was striking his computer . This totally convinced me so I decided to try it out.
I downloaded the e-book and followed the instructions page by page . Some of the tweaks involved changes to windows defaults , others were patches that were downloaded and ran for optimizing registration , optimizing hard drive , changes to the internet download speed setting , tips about how the default windows sounds can influence speed also thumbnails and even the fonts stored and many more tweak instructions, also free virus protection , spy protection program and firewall, it took me around an hour including having to reboot a few times for new settings to be implemented.
The end result was a faster boot and switch off , it even made my Mike work ! This had been faulty when I reloaded software after the new motherboard was fitted.
I am still amazed how fast my computer is both in terms of programs loaded from my drive and also speed from the net.

The Easiest and Best Way to Transfer Songs From iPod to PC With Vista Or Any Other OS
Posted on April 17th, 2010 No commentsVikram Singh asked:
Do you have some songs, videos or files on your iPod that you would like to transfer to your PC and be able to enjoy them straight from your hard drive? Well many people are in the same situation but cannot seem to figure out how to transfer iPod media back to the computer. So in this article I am going to show the easiest and best way to transfer songs from iPod to PC with Vista or any other operating system for that matter, in turn allowing you to freely transfer media from iPod to PC at any time you like.
First of all the reason you are unable to simply drag and drop items from your iPod back onto your hard drive via iTunes is due to strict copyright and privacy laws. You see Apple places these restrictions within the iTunes software and iPods so that you do not share the music or videos you downloaded from their iTunes store illegally with different computers or iPods. They probably just want to make more money by making you download the material again for your hard drive. However whatever their motive is you needn’t worry as you can easily transfer songs and videos from your iPod to PC if you have the proper tools in play.
Many software developers have come to realize this major flaw in the iTunes software, hence they have taken matters into their own hands and designed some very unique software which allows you to easily transfer media from your iPod to the computer. These programs are very easy to use and they work exactly like iTunes, expect of course they allow you to freely transfer media between both iPod and PC. The software is great for anyone who needs to get media off their iPod and put it onto a hard drive and the best part about it is that it’s usually free to download and try out.
So if you want to transfer some music from your iPod to the PC then iTunes simply isn’t going to do the job for you. Plus if you don’t intend on re-purchasing and downloading your media again to your hard drive then I would have to say The Easiest and Best Way to Transfer Songs From iPod To PC with Vista or any Other OS is to grab a decent iPod to Computer transfer program. One particular program I use Cucusoft iPod/iPhone/iTouch to Computer Transfer it is very easy to use and is Free to download, check it out by visiting the link below…

Other than the touch screen and the size, what’s the difference of a Tablet PC from Laptops/Notebooks? I’m thinking of getting one.Specifically, are normal programs not available on a Tablet PC? I saw this demo on the Microsoft site that said it allows you to transfer some of your favorite music from you desktop PC to the Tablet. Does this mean I can’t store my whole library in it? Does a tablet have a DVD-RW or CD-ROM drive?
Is there lower hard drive capacity?Or is it mostly the same thing?
Hehehe… Thanks in advanced
