www.digitalhomethoughts.com My unboxing and first impressions of the hp tx2051 Tablet PC (part two of two). This unit from hp has some impressive specifications 2.3 Ghz AMD X2 CPU, 4 GB of RAM, 250 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, an NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 GPU, a 12.1″ WXSGA touch screen, and it’s all running on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit. James Kendrick of jkOnTheRun gives a tour of the HP EliteBook 2730p Convertible Notebook or Tablet PC. The 2730p is a thin and light notebook with a swivel screen that performs full Tablet PC functions in addition to being a sterling notebook computer. James gives a comparison with the previous model, the 2710p, and shows the slice battery and slim docking station. Find out why James likes the 2730p so much.

Will all the vista tablet pc components work in XP or ubuntu?
Posted on May 15th, 2010 1 commentabujabish asked:
I’m using an HP Touchsmart tx2-1020us tablet pc that runs on vista 64 which it came with. I was wondering if I switched to xp or ubuntu if all off the programs for for handwriting recognition and all the other tablet pc components would still work in either one of them. Basically, I can’t stand Vista but I want to keep all the tablet functionality.Thanks.

I would like to make my own tablet PC like the iPad or the HP Slate. I know that it’s been done and it will be difficult and costly.

So, I have a HP Tx2500z, one of those touchscreen tablet pc’s, but I recently bought a MacbookPro and I don’t use the PC anymore, my question is if I can take the tablet screen and somehow turn it into a (maybe) USB tablet so I can use it with my Macbook, does anyone have any idea if this can be done? Thanks in advance!
