iPad Vs Kindle – Which Is The Better Product?
Posted on November 26th, 2010 No commentsKurtis Fred D Britt asked:
The iPad and the Kindle are in tough competition to claim the top spot amongst the e-readers out in the market today. Sadly for all companies in this market, the iPad has already claimed the top spot in barely a few months that it’s been in the market. Have you seen or used one yet?
Look, when I first heard of the iPad, I though: “great! Now they’re doing gigantic iPhone!” but let me tell you something: I was wrong! This product is so much more than an iPhone and the other ebook readers are not even close. I have tested the Sony PRS reader as well as the Kindle and to me they are not even in the same category.
It is obvious that the iPad has a higher price tag but when you think about spending just a couple of hundred dollars more, you are getting basically a small computer that will also allow you read your ebooks. Plus, with the Kindle app for the iPad, you can still use the Amazon bookstore and download kindle formatted books. Not only that, but you can also download the Nook app and use the Barnes and Noble bookstore as well. Not too bad for a few dollars more, right?
Look, ask yourself this: do any of the other ebook readers can handle apps and connect to the internet and allow you to check your email seamlessly? The answer is a definite No! But is everything perfect with the iPad?
Actually no. The iPad still has room for improvement and this is where you can take advantage of the situation and get yourself a free iPad! Interested?
Listen, you can register to become a tester by entering your zip code and verifying that there are units left in your area. Basically what you are doing is helping the developers improve an already outstanding product by giving your opinion after using it. Some of the areas for improvement are reading in very bright conditions, like out in a park for example. This is an area that the Kindle remains superior.
Testing the unit is not hard. It just means using it, answering a few questions online and that’s it! You get to keep a free iPad. Not too bad, huh?

Is iPad the Kindle Killer?
Posted on November 18th, 2010 No commentsFrantz Gerald asked:
Currently, this sector of the small electronics business is dominated by the Kindle, a thin, tablet like e-book reader and a multimedia device offered by Amazon Inc. Despite practically inventing this fledgling electronics niche, Amazon is truly facing stiff competition from Apple, taking into account their dominance of the small hand held touch screen device business by their iPhone product.
As the two prepare to face off in what is already being anticipated is the electronics battlefield for 2010, the gadget buying public is scrambling to discover what makes the Apple iPad a better choice than the Amazon Kindle. Exploring some of the iPad features and comparing them to the Kindle will shed some more light on this hot topic:
Web Browsing – the Apple iPad comes equipped with the computer giant’s already popular Safari web browser. This alone makes the iPad the stronger device as the Kindle features a minimal browser at best, not to mention one that can compete with Safari.
Email -Reading electronic mail is another impressive feature that the iPad bests the Kindle in. Most impressively, Apple has integrated a feature-rich e-mail client that supports an on-screen, QWERTY touch pad, as well as the ability to manipulate e-mail in portrait or landscape view. Unfortunately the Kindle doesn’t feature an e-mail client.
Photos – With its 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi) display capabilities, the iPad can deliver photos with crystal-clear precision. In fact, the iPad can be used as an impressive digital photo album, displaying all of your best photographs. The Amazon Kindle can handle photographs, but only in black and white resolution.
Video – The large, oversized display screen can handle the showing of high definition movies, music videos, YouTube and of course podcasts. The iPad is a truly take it with you movie solution. The Kindle does not support motion video at this time.
iPOD/iTUNES – The iPad is the perfect device to import multimedia from either your iPod or iTunes account. Any music that you’ve purchased via iTunes is easily transferred over to your new tablet device. The Kindle does feature the ability to play MP3 tunes but fails to compare with the feature-rich music studio that the iPad boasts.
iBOOKS – Perhaps one of the main components of a thin, tablet like multimedia device is its ability to deliver outstanding literary choices for its user. The iPad does a great job of providing a wide variety of books and publications. This is perhaps the one area that the Amazon Kindle still maintains a degree of superiority over at the iPad, as its book selection and deliverability is slightly better.
App Store – The iPad makes adding additional applications simple with its built-in app store. This is yet another feature that makes the Apple offering a more robust piece of personal electronics, as adding additional features to the Kindle is yet to be supported.
Storage – yet another area where the iPad defeats the Kindle hands-down is the amount of storage space made available. The Kindle offers a modest 4 GB of storage, as compared to a basic 16 GB made available by the iPad. Additionally, Apple makes it possible to have as much as 32 GB internal or 64 GB with a flash drive.
Both devices do a great job of integrating the latest technologies and connectivity. Both integrate wi-fi and 3G Internet browsing. This is one area where the both perform equally well and definitely over deliver and their promises in this category.

iPad Vs Kindle and Other EBook Readers – Which is Better?
Posted on September 20th, 2010 No commentsKristy Trudeau asked:
There is much rumor on the internet that the new revolutionary iPad will crush the Kindle DX. Before the iPad was scheduled to launch there was a lot of discussion about how the iPad could help newspaper, magazine and book publishers create new revenue and increase profits.
The new Apple iPad has answered these publishers’ questions of how to increase revenues by offering the iPhone Kindle application. Many of the applications created for the iPhone works very well with the iPad too. Because Apple has more experience creating compatible applications the Amazon store and the creators of Kindle may have something to worry about. Although Kindle has made many changes from their original version relying on their relationship with the Amazon store to keep consumers interested may not be a long lasting benefit when consumers try the new iPad. Fortunately for Kindle users they will be able to try Apple’s new iPad for FREE. Keep reading this article to learn how you can get a new iPad of your own at no cost.
The Apple Corporation has an incredible offer for iPad users. In exchange for signing a monthly contract for service for your iPad the door to the internet will be opened. The more than 34,000 iPod touch apps will be made available to you; and incredible as it may seem, included in this offer will be the Amazon Kindle APP. Sorry Kindle but there may be a new Sheriff in town…
Although the creators of Kindle may soon start to sweat; Amazon won’t be too upset about the new iPad. Amazon will still be able to offer e-books for sale as well as e-textbooks, too. Because Apple has always had a strong relationship with many universities and colleges, we are convinced we will see educational discounts to help promote the iPad as a new virtual textbook. The only publishers who may be hurting in the near future may be the magazine and newspaper corporations who where hoping to ride the Kindle wave a bit longer.
Another great feature of the iPad will be the application for watching movies; think of it as a widescreen version of the iPod. The built in speakers will show to be a valuable part of your on-line movie experience. So to think of the new iPad as much more than a glorified netbook; it’s a fully functioning tablet-style computer. The Apple Corporation has once again provided us with a revolutionary product which is said to have the ability to change the way we use computers in the near future.

An iPad? How About a Tough Tablet For Grown Ups
Posted on August 22nd, 2010 No commentsEric Kelly asked:
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Apple’s iPad, which is their solution for the tablet market. However, much of this buzz has been negative chatter seeking to point out each and every one of the iPad’s shortcomings. The naysayers proclaim that they are looking for a device with multitasking, USB ports, a camera for video chat, HDMI video output, Adobe Flash support, widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, and more. To many, Apple’s Ipad is more of a child’s toy than a tablet computer with any real uses. In an effort to help those who are in the market for a tablet but are not impressed with Apple’s gimmicks, you should feel obligated to look into Panasonic’s line of Toughbooks.
Panasonic offers an entire line of rugged mobile computing solutions that are typically classified as either business-rugged, semi-rugged, fully-rugged, or ultra-mobile-rugged. These different classifications refer to toughness of the notebooks. Panasonic offers many different tablet PC solutions that will bring the power of a durable tablet with a full-featured operating system right to your finger tips.
Typically, Toughbooks are owned by people who intend to use their tablet for important tasks out in the work field. On the other hand, the iPad is much more suitable for use while sitting on the couch browsing IMDB (Internet Movie Database). When you’re using a Toughbook tablet there is no need to worry about dropping or scratching it; these notebooks are tough. Beyond being physically built like a tank, it is easy to find Toughbook models that are superior in performance over the iPad’s internals.
As a quick example of one of Panasonic’s superior Toughbook tablets, let’s take a look at the Toughbook C1 vs. Apple’s Ipad.
Operating System: Toughbook C1 has full Windows 7 or XP while the iPad had the iPhone OS Processor: Toughbook C1 has a 2.4Ghz i5 while the iPad has a measly 1Ghz Display: The C1 has a 12.1″ 1280 x 800 widescreen display, while the iPad has a 9.7″ 1024 x 768 display 4:3 display Hard Drive: The Toughbook C1 has a 250GB Shock-Mounted HD, while the iPad has only a 16 – 64GB HD And the list goes on!
Many people like to respond to facts like those by bringing up the price difference between the two products. Yes, the Toughbook is going to cost you more, but usually only in the short term. Buying a Toughbook gives you the added satisfaction of knowing that you’re not going to need to buy a new computer if you accidentally drop it, or you accidentally spill something on the keyboard. These computers are built to last. However, if you still think that you want a Toughbook but are struggling to justify the price, there are a few places that sell refurbished Toughbooks for significantly lower prices, while still offering the same great Toughbook products.

Free Apple iPad Offers – How to Find the Real Deal
Posted on August 14th, 2010 No commentsTammi Harris asked:
Apple iPad Features and Options
The Apple iPad, just announced last week, is arguably the most exciting computing product to hit the market in years! It is a tablet computer featuring multi-touch interaction (think iPhone or iPod Touch), with multi-media Internet browsing. This amazing device has an LED backlit 9.7 inch color LCD display (about the size of a standard sheet of paper), and uses a virtual keyboard for text input.
Do you currently own an iPhone or iPod touch? Love your apps? You’ll be thrilled to discover that the iPad can run virtually all of them! It also comes with the following built-in applications:
Safari – web browsing Mail – email and messaging iPod – music and audio App Store – search and download new apps iBooks – online bookstore Maps – GPS-enabled mapping and directions Notes – write, save, and share notes Calendar – schedule events, set alerts. Interfaces with Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft Outlook, iCal, MobileMe, and Microsoft Exchange and lots more!
Pricing for the iPad
Retail prices for the iPad range from $499 to $829, depending on the amount of storage and whether or not you wish to include 3G communications. If you are interested in 3G access, it will be provided by AT&T and sold with two contract-free data plan options: $14.99/month for 250MB and $29.99/month for unlimited access.
Finding a Free Apple iPad
Right now, since the iPad has just been recently announced, there is an extremely high level of interest in it. Thousands of Internet searches are being performed each day for terms like “Apple iPad,” “iPad Info,” “Buy iPad,” “Free Apple iPad,” and many others. Unfortunately, this creates an ideal environment for any unscrupulous individual who would like to scam you, so you need to be careful. It’s very possible to get yourself an Apple iPad for free, but you need to do your research. Here are a few tips that will help you separate the real deals from the rip-offs:
Never pay any money up-front. A legitimate offer may ask you to contribute a small amount for shipping and handling, but will never ask for payment info until you have been completely qualified to receive your product. Likewise, never provide credit card info prematurely. At some point, a few legitimate offers will require that you pay a small processing or shipping fee, but not until you’ve had several interactions with them and they are ready to send you your iPad. Furthermore, many free iPad offers require absolutely no payment whatsoever, so you may want to avoid this altogether by seeking out one of those. Be discerning. The companies that are truly offering a high-value reward like the Apple iPad have a high enough budget to put together an attractive, well-designed, correctly-functioning website. Run screaming in the other direction from a website that looks sloppy, poorly laid-out, or generates errors or otherwise does not function properly.
So with a bit of research and common sense, you can get your hands on a brand-new Apple iPad absolutely free. But you should probably act fast; these types of promotions are usually launched shortly after a new product is announced, and don’t last long. Good luck!

What is So Good About the iPad?
Posted on July 1st, 2010 No commentsJane Joyner asked:
Steve Jobs has done it again. First the iPhone and now the iPad. According to some estimates, over half a million iPads have been pre-ordered. So, what’s all the hype about? Is iPad all that spectacular or is Steve Jobs just good at building up excitement and anticipation? Well, I will let you be the judge. Let’s dive in and see what all Apple’s new brainchild, the iPad, has to offer.
First, this a powerful hand-held device. It does not matter if you are a gamer, a business professional or an avid web-surfer, the iPad can handle it. It has a very sleek and stylish design that will catch anyone’s eye. It only weighs 1.5 pounds. Not only that, it’s extremely user-friendly. It makes surfing the web a piece of cake.
Well, just tap and go. And with its revolutionary, 9.7-inch, high-resolution, Multi-Touch screen, you will be able to view the whole web page without any problems. It’s just like your PC, but smaller and much more capable. The iPad gives you a good web-surfing experience. But that’s not all you can do with the iPad. You can also view photos, watch movies, download music, read books and much more, all with the tap of your finger. A lot you need is right in your hands, literally.
And the iPad can run over 140,000 apps that are available in the apps store and it can also run the apps that you have already downloaded onto your iPhone.

3 Key Differences Between the iPad and the Kindle
Posted on May 12th, 2010 No commentsIvan Diaz asked:
The one thing that Apple is used to, is being one of the most innovative companies on the planet. Whenever a new device made by Apple is set to come to the market, you can be sure that it will have features that you have never seen before. Even if the actual device was first created by another company. They always find a way to improve on the original invention. They did this with the iPod against other MP3 manufactures. They also did this against their rival mobile phone manufacturers with the iPhone.
Now they are going to try it once again with the iPad. Even though they mean for the device to be more of a general purpose computing entity, there is no denying that one of their main targets is the Kindle that is manufactured by Amazon. Let’s note the key differences and see how they stack up to one another.
· Touch Screen functionality – Even though both screens are roughly the same size, the iPad has a touch screen functionality that is sure to please the users of the device. Since most of the early adopters of the platform will be former iPhone users, a similar interface is a huge advantage. And consumers who are not using an iPhone now will surely be more impressed by the touch features than the normal hard button navigation presented by the Kindle.
· Device Functionality – The Kindle was meant to be an ebook reader and nothing more. They focused on giving people a similar experience to when they would sit down and read a paperback book. The iPad is going to try and give those same users something more. Apple wants to give them the same ebook functionality, but wrap it in a device that will function as a mini computer as well.
· Color Screen – The Kindle is in black and white. The iPad is in color. That advantage definitely goes to the iPad. Since most people are used to color devices, I would have to say that the iPad will be looked upon more favorably by the average user. While the kindle creators claimed that they decided to go with a black and white screen so that users could feel as if they were reading a real book, people are going to see the kindle side by side with the iPad and ultimately choose the color device.
These are three key differences between the iPad and the Kindle. All of these factors will make a huge difference in someone who is deciding which device that they want.

The Newest Device For The iPad Touch
Posted on April 18th, 2010 No commentsDmitry Fedosev asked:
Apple manufacturers have done it again when it comes to pleasing their customers by releasing the new device called the iPad. This device is the latest technology when it comes to one gadget that can multitask, whereby the user can watch movies, music videos and television as well.
That’s not the end to this device as the user can also surf the web, receive and send emails, play audio and also music videos as well as save pictures. The outward appearance of the device looks a lot similar to the iPhone but it’s quite different in a number of things that will be highlighted on this article about iPad app reviews.
The iPad can be said to be working almost similar to a laptop and have a design like the iPhone but it’s on another level of its own. When compared to a netbook the iPad has a thickness of about 0.5 inches and weighs around 1.5 pound therefore it’s quite light and thinner than the netbook or a laptop. Its has a 9.7 inch backlit screen for displaying purposes as well as IPS technology that comes with it.
The processor of the gadget is an A4 inbuilt 1GHz apple processor, which has the highest level in graphics. With features such as 178 degree when it comes to viewing and a 1024768 pixel in terms of resolution, the gadget is the one of a kind. iPad app reviews clearly shows how advance the technology used in creating the iPad is. With features like the iBook, notes, calendar, iTunes and a spotlight search truly this gadget does not disappoint.

Ezy Tablet PC Vs Apple iPad
Posted on April 12th, 2010 No commentsChris Pine asked:
Ever since Apple announced the iPad on January 26, 2010, other computer manufacturers have been scrambling to release tablet devices of their own. One of these is the Ezy Tablet PC. But how does the Ezy Tablet PC stack up against the iPad? Let’s take a look at some of the similarities and differences:
1. Screen Size
The Ezy Tablet barely edges out the iPad in terms of screen size. The iPad has a 9.7″ screen, while the Ezy Tablet sports a 10.2″ screen. Both of them have full multi-touch capabilities.
2. Weight
Although the Ezy Tablet has a slightly bigger screen, it is also much heavier. It weighs in at about 2.2 pounds, compared to the iPad’s 1.5 pounds. If you plan on holding this in front of you for an extended period of time, this could make quite a bit of difference.
3. Camera
This was one feature that many Apple fans felt was sorely missing from the iPad. Luckily, the makers of the Ezy have addressed this issue and have included a 1.3 megapixel camera/webcam. This is a must if you like taking pictures on the go or setting up a video chat with your friends.
4. Operating System
Many Apple fans were hoping that the iPad would feature the full Mac OSX operating system that they love on their Macs. Instead, Apple is aiming toward customer ease of use and is shipping the iPad with essentially the same software that is on their iPhone and iPod Touch. The Ezy Tablet, on the other hand, is a full blown computer with the ability to run either Windows Vista or Windows 7.
5. Battery
Running a full computer on such a compact device uses a lot of power. That’s why the iPad can last 10 hours on a single charge, while the Ezy Tablet PC can only last 3.5 hours. If you want to watch movies on your device, this could be the difference between one movie or 4 movies.
6. Storage
The Ezy Tablet PC offers a generous 250 GB hard drive, compared to the iPad’s relatively paltry 64 GB maximum. There is no question who wins on this feature.
7. Internet Connectivity
Both devices feature both a Wi-Fi and 3G internet option. The basic iPad model has only Wi-Fi, but you can pay a little more for 3G.
8. Price
This is what it all comes down to, because if the Ezy Tablet PC can’t compete on price, then it doesn’t matter how many extra features it has. The iPad starts at $499, and the Ezy Tablet starts at $679. Not bad, but it doesn’t come with an operating system, so you’ll need to buy that too, which pushes the price above $800.
