Lenovo ThinkPad X201t Tablet PC Video Review
Posted on December 14th, 2010 25 commentsMobileTechReview asked:
A video review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X201t Tablet. We take a look at the hardware, ports, pressure sensitive Wacom display in Photoshop and art programs, and we test the outdoor view option in bright sun. We also compare the X201t to the HP TouchSmart TM2 Tablet.

@SupaPoopaScoopa It’s the “Intel HD Graphics” built into the cpu.

@Mr45tull If you order it with the capacitive multi-touch touchscreen yes. I don’t think the default one can.

@ruminanto It’s matte finish. Lenovo doesn’t usually do gloss. It doesn’t heat up doing most tasks. We have more detailed info in our full review. Check it out!
Good luck!

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the excellent review, please could you tell me two things…Is the display matte finish or glossy ?
Does the laptop heat up while in tablet mode…during light usage like reading and marking PDFs ? It will be a bit uncomfortable for me to write on if it heats upthanks again.

@tannmann3521v2 If money was no object, I’d take the ThinkPad. But it does cost a lot more.

Why is the drawn image lagging behind the pen movement?

Lisa….How did the screen auto-rotation work for you? Also, did you notice any screen wobble either front to back or side to side that may be excessive?
We are looking to upgrade our departments tablets PC’s and I really appreciate the great review you have done on the X201. We are seriously looking at this computer and hope to get a demo model for field testing soon.
Thanks again for the great review!!

@yochayrofe I realized soon afterwards that yes I can get a firewire express card. But at the same time, I also found out there’s no such thing as a VGA-to-HDMI cable. And there’s also no such thing as an HDMI express card. So that’s a deal-breaker.

Thanks for the great review. I travel a lot and this laptop is very portable yet powerful enough to be functional too. I probably wouldn’t even notice the weight in my carry on luggage. I checked out your video first and you certainly highlight everything this device offers. Well done.
PS, you have a sexy voice.

yochayrofe January 20th, 2011 at 13:14
@UTbone04 u can use express card to add 1394 firewire connection.
